SHELL: His life was chosen for him. His pregnant wife constantly nags at him for she wants to ride the wild pony she once knew. Instead, he prefers talking to his buffalo because they agree with everything he does.
Randy Weatherbee: As I look back, I can’t remember a time that I wanted to be anything other than an actor/singer. I did plays as a child and when I turned 17, a music video, “Along for the Ride.” Shortly after, I ended up marrying my high school sweetheart and began raising a family. Cut to, one day my daughter comes to me and expresses interest in becoming an actress so I took her to an agent. As we were leaving they expressed interest in representing me as well. I was not sure how much work there would be in Spokane and always thought my dream of being an actor would have to wait until my family was raised and I would be able to move to a place that had acting work. Fortunately, I was wrong. I landed a Featured Extra role in “Give ‘Em Hell Malone” and a Principal Role In “Falling Up” with Snoop Dogg and Joe Cross. I have done commercials as well. “Shell” is my biggest role to date and I feel blessed to have been part of bringing Serena’s vision of him to the screen. The people I met and the friendships made during filming I will always cherish. We all learned a lot on the set of “The Merry Graingers” and I hope that the movie is well received.
