Arturo Sotto Díaz: Arturo has written and directed three feature films, two of them, “Amor Vertical” and “Pon Tu Pensamiento en Mi”, were chosen to represent Cuba for Oscar submission for Best Foreign Film. His most recent film, “La Noche de los Inocentes” was awarded the Jury Prize at the Biarritz Film Festival. “Talco para lo Negro” was awarded Best Short Film at the Festival International del Nuevo Cine in Havana, Cuba. Arturo has written, directed and produced several documentaries. “Breton es un Bebe”, “El Misterio de las Aquas”, and “Habana Abierta “ are just a few. He has several scripts in development, of which, some have been selected to attend world class labs such as the Sundance Institute, the Plume et Pellicule in Switzerland and the Ibero-American Cinematography Projects Course in Madrid, Spain. His script “PPK” was awarded best unpublished script at the Festival International del Nuevo in Havana, Cuba. As a guest lecturer, he has been to WSU in Pulman, Washington and The University of Wisconsin. His films have been shown around the world at various Film Festivals. Arturo resides in Havana, Cuba.
